Renew Your Mind
The Bible says:
“And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.” Romans 12:2 NKJV
“Do not be conformed to this world (this age), [fashioned after and adapted to its external, superficial customs], but be transformed (changed) by the [entire] renewal of your mind [by its new ideals and its new attitude], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God, even the thing which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His sight for you]." Romans 12:2 AMP
The “mind” suggests understanding, insight, meditation, reflection, perception, the gift of apprehension, the faculty of thought. When this faculty is renewed by the Holy Spirit, the whole mind-set changes from the fearful negativism of the carnal mind to the vibrant, positive thinking of the quickened spiritual mind.
To “renew the mind” means “to renovate”, implying a restoration to freshness or to an original state. God wants to reinstate to mankind His original intentions for them before the Fall.
The unrenewed mind says you are not worthy of God’s love, favor, and provisions. However, God’s Word says differently.
“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ,” Ephesians 1:3 NKJV
“May blessing (praise, laudation, and eulogy) be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah) Who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual (given by the Holy Spirit) blessing in the heavenly realm!” Ephesians 1:3 AMP
You are Blood bought, kings and priests before the LORD. You are seated in Heavenly places in Christ. Satan is completely defeated and has NO power in or over your life.
Reading and studying the Word of God is for your benefit. Ask the Holy Spirit to help you see who you really are now that Christ is your Savior, as you read His love letter to you.
“But He answered and said, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.” Matthew 4:4 NKJV
“But He replied, It has been written, Man shall not live and be upheld and sustained by bread alone, but by every word that comes forth from the mouth of God.” Matthew 4:4 AMP
“Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth.” John 17:17 NKJV
“Sanctify them [purify, consecrate, separate them for Yourself, make them holy] by the Truth; Your Word is Truth.” John 17:17 AMP
